Another day, another fun new tool to make my life a bit easier. Today, I’m exploring Stormboard.
Stormboard is meant to allow folks to collaborate on project planning, and features a giant white canvas onto which each team member may post digital “sticky notes.” These notes can be moved around and even connected, and team members may comment on the ideas posted thereon.
Stickies can be color coded, and grouped into “index cards” to create handy lists. In addition to posting stickies, you can also post images, videos, and sketches. If you pay for the premium edition, you can also upload files.
Something that I find extremely cool about Stormboard is the layout templates. You can just select a plain white background, but the folks at Stormboard have create dozens of templates that are applicable to business, education, and general organization. There are KWL charts, SWOT analysis charts, matrices, calendars, quarterly goals, character maps… Seriously useful! And the interface is so simple and attractive.
So, hopefully Stormboard will help me keep my life organized. The free version is very functional, and for now the educational version is free (though does not have all the features of the paid premium version). Give it a try, or come to our Technophiles meeting tomorrow to learn more!
